He is my gentle giant, and I am his safe space. Together, we laugh, cry, pray, and build. Ours is a love story rooted in resilience, transparency, and unwavering faith. They say this kind of love isn’t for everyone—and they’re right. But for us, it’s everything.

One of the most meaningful moments of our journey was our wedding, officiated by the incredible Wendy Wortham, who is not just a pioneer in celebrating incarcerated love stories but also a mentor and advocate who welcomed me into this beautiful work. Standing before Eric and officiating our wedding myself was an honor I will never forget. That moment reminded me of the power of love to heal and unite, no matter the circumstances.

As I work toward completing my degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health, my purpose becomes clearer every day: to equip prison wives, husbands, and their families with the tools to navigate this often-challenging path.
